The higher the reading, the more contamination present. Assessing the cleanliness of a surface immediately after cleaning ensures contamination has been removed. Depending on the industry, this system will help protect quality, extend product shelf life, prevent cross-contamination, enable immediate corrective anction and/or avoid recalls.
ATP hygiene monitoring provides accurate and traceable verification of the hygienic status of a surface or water, which is a key component of a good hygiene program. ATP testing is a universally recognised tool used by the world's largest and smallest companies for measuring the hygienic status of surfaces and water in order to ensure product consistency and safety.

Testing devices
AquaSnap Total measures total organic contamination (ATP from organic and microbial sources) in a water sample. The easy-to-use test validates cleaning effectiveness of endoscopes by detecting any residual contamination in flushed water samples from inner channels or hard-to-clean elevator channels of duodenoscopes. The specifically designed dipper tip collects 100 µl of water ensuring consistent sample collection from test to test. AquaSnap is convenient, economical, and gives real-time results. Ensuring the effectiveness of cleaning procedures helps to facilitate successful high-level disinfection and sterilization.
